"THERE IS NO END. THERE IS NO BEGINNING. THERE IS ONLY THE INFINITE PASSION OF LIFE."
— Federico Fellini
I've always found creative inspiration from very simple, beautiful, yet random things -
The Tame Impala 'Lonerism' album cover.
Almost any Sade song (my fellow Capricorn)
The song 'The Girl from Ipanema'
The films 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' and 'Vertigo'
Coffee Table Books (I'm Taschen obsessed)
Speakeasies and aesthetically pleasing Cocktail Bars
Front Royal, VA (my hometown) + Atlanta, GA (my city) + Los Angeles, CA (my adult home)
Italian Cities & Beaches
Case Study Homes
The list goes on.....
I'm Kristen, a Los Angeles based creative, and traveling has always been a passion of mine.
While traveling - a scent, sight, or sound will give me creative inspiration and I ideate that into a visual. These visuals become core memories for me.
The first international trip that I experienced was Japan at 16 years old. I spent 2 weeks exploring Tottori and Osaka with friends while on my High School marching band trip and it truly changed my life. Being a 16-year old girl living in Atlanta, GA, this trip forever changed the way that I viewed the world and gave me an intense appreciation for experiencing other cultures. Throughout that trip I took photos on disposable cameras and still have those beautiful analog photos to this day.

I studied Film + Video at Georgia State University and it changed the way I viewed film and visuals as a whole.
So many of the films that I love, such as 'Vertigo', 'The Talented Mr. Ripley', and 'Ocean's Twelve' have color palettes, aesthetics, and soundtracks that I admire. I love capturing images that look like they belong in a film.
Two things that I collect when I travel are coffee mugs and coffee table books. I see both as conversation pieces and quirky mementos. Urbansocial.space is my virtual coffee table book. When creating urbansocial.space, I wanted to have a visual space for others to see beautiful locations and moments through my lens. Each photo was taken by me with great passion and intention.
This virtual coffee table book is for the travel lover, aspiring traveler, creative, film lover, foodie, & so many more.
I hope that you are delightfully transported to each location and creatively inspired through each visual.
